The two-channel Hall effect encoder is used to detect the rotation of the magnetic disk on the rear protrusion of the motor shaft. The quadrature encoder provides a resolution of 7 counts per revolution of the motor shaft when the edges of both channels are counted. Multiply the gear ratio by 48 to calculate the counts per revolution of the output of the gearbox.
OE28 Hall Effect Two Channel Magnetic Encoder Hall sensor requires an input voltage, Vcc, between 4.5 and 24 V and draws a maximum of 10 mA. The outputs A and B are square waves of around 90 ° out of phase from 0 V to Vcc. The transition frequency tells you speed of the motor, and the transition order tells you the direction.
