The resistance of NTC thermistor will increase as environment temperature decreases, otherwise, the resistance will decrease while temperature increases, with high sensitivity of thermal, NTC thermistor is applied to variety of fields such as temperature measurement and temperature compensation
The fundamental principle is to utilize that NTC thermistor has different thermal dissipation factors between different mediums, when the power generated internal to NTC thermistor from current flow is enough to raise the body temperature of the thermistor above that of its surroundings, the thermal will conduct to surroundings, and then the balanced temperature will depend on the medium type
